In 2013, with the beginning of a new research project, the need of project management, collaboration, digital tools and simple workflows to support the entire research process became evident.
After trying many tools and workflows we remained unsatisfied and began tinkering with Microsoft OneNote, which we have been using as science educators and education researchers since 2004.
We adapted it to our purposes of improving research quality: reflective, analytically rich, rigorous, transparent, collaborative and ethical; and to opening up and democratizing research.
We customised OneNote for research practice by relating theory on methods and methodology to research on design, semiotics, cognition and innovation; and to what actually researchers do in their research life. This is what we are sharing here with you.
